Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We are located in Wahroonga on the North Shore of Sydney, Australia. We are approximately 30 minutes drive north of the CBD.

Can we sample your cake flavours?

Yes we offer complimentary cake consultations with a selection of sample cake flavours for our wedding cake clients.

When should I get in touch about my wedding cake?

Most clients' contact us 3-6 months prior to their wedding, but many contact us earlier to secure their preferred date over the busy spring and summer months. A good time to get in contact is when you have your design and styling elements coming together so we can schedule a complimentary cake tasting appointment. At this meeting we will collaborate with you to design a unique cake that not only tastes delicious, but forms a centrepiece at your venue.
If you have a shorter lead time into an event please don't hesitate to contact us as we are happy to accommodate you. We have been able to make a number of couple's happy, even when contacted the week of the wedding!

Do you have more photos of your cakes?

Yes we sure do! Bill has been creating custom designed wedding cakes, birthday cakes and all things sweet for many years.
We regularly post our latest creations on Facebook and Instagram.
Also feel free to send us an enquiry and we will happily email additional photos with similar design features to assist in making your cake perfect.

How do I order a cake?

For birthday cakes, desserts and cakes for special events, we can be contacted on 0422 168 722 or 02 9487 1119 to discuss flavours, designs, and to place your order. Payment is required prior to, or upon cake collection.
Wedding cake orders are confirmed following payment of a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date. The balance of your payment is required 2 weeks prior to your event.

Birthday cakes can be collected from our kitchen at a scheduled time. At times we are able to deliver birthday or other cakes, please contact us for availability and a quote.

Can I have a different flavour in each cake tier and can I have the ganache flavoured?

Yes, of course! We are happy to use different flavours in each tier or you can combine two flavours in the one tier. Between each layer we use chocolate ganache, which can be flavoured.
Pop over to our flavour list to view a selection of our mouth watering options.

What size cake will I need?

Cakes can be cut and served as dessert or coffee sized portions. This will depend on whether you are having other dessert options as well, and when you will be cutting and serving the cake. The shape of your cake, whether it be round or square and the size of your tiers will determine the number of guests that your cake will comfortably feed.
Feel free to contact us to discuss the number of guests you are planning for, so that we can recommend the most appropriate cake size.

How do I store my cake before my event?

Sugar iced (fondant) cakes should be kept on a flat surface in a cool, dry place. In hot or humid weather these cakes should be placed in an air conditioned room out of direct sunlight.
Cakes decorated with chocolate ganache, chocolate shards or buttercream should be refrigerated. To experience your cake at its mouthwatering best, remove it from the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to serving to allow the cake to come up to room temperatures as the flavours of the chocolate will develop.
Our handmade couverture chocolates are best kept in a cool, dark and dry place, out of the refrigerator. Refrigeration will cause the chocolate to bloom, although this doesn't affect the taste. Most importantly, we strive to make preservative free chocolates with no stabilisers or unnecessary additives, so please devour our chocolates within 2 weeks to ensure ultimate freshness.
